The first and critical step to accomplish in your life future is identifying with inner ability and potential of oneself. It’s about identifying your personal value; linking your potential with opportunities and doing something you want that make your heart sing to become somebody.

Lily Tomlin an American actress, comedian, writer, singer, and producer knew that she wanted to become somebody when she grew up. Finally, she realized that she should have been more specific.

Identifying and being who you are can make many people unique and somebody in life. But, another critical step; it takes to be “more specific” with your ability and “start acting” in parallel to problem you want to fix in your community.

Insisting about being more specific doesn’t mean to be limited with what you can do or what you love to do. It’s about sticking and committed to your burning desire in relation to what you can do with your potential for other people-the market place.

Living a successful life, it’s when individual potential meets with personal focus and determination without imitating other people, the same in identifying answers from societal problems.

Sad to say, the world is missing people who can stand firm with what they want to accomplish and believe to deal with challenges in life. Our world has good number of people who believe in success through adopting the life of successful people even though they are not aware of a path used. This makes people fail to live and achieve their dreams due to “copy and paste mentality” which I consider it to be a threat to “human thinking”-ability of human to think and “attitude”-the way we see the world using the “eye of a soul”. Currently, we have a huge number of people who want “short cut” to achieve in life. That’s a tragedy of human thinking!

As it was said by Swahili ancestor that, “Maisha ni Safari”- ”Life is a Journey” in English translation, the same to “success in life is also a journey”; there is no short cut! You need to know exactly a path using a map drawn in your mind and destination in order to succeed in life. In case you don’t know exactly a path toward success with your potential, surely you will be living other people’s life and it’s where you will be stuck and off the target.

When identifying who you are with something capable of, then, improve your skills enhancing your potential to become a better person of value. Everyday, strive to become a person of value by acquiring more skills relating a professional you love.

Being a person of value attracts the demand in the market place, thus, the value you become with success, as Jim Rohn once said; “success is something you attract by becoming an attractive person.” Linking the acquired skills and your potential with available opportunities to address the pain of other people will open a door to success.
