I used to inspire the youth-job seekers, aspiring entrepreneurs and employees in number of my teaching, restlessly by saying; “If you cannot force yourself to love what you do, you will be forced to love what others do.” Friendly speaking, when you fall in love with what others do,you’ll be in a situation of losing the freedom to make choices with what you really love to do. Others will always run a show and dictate to you on what to do for their interest.Really, you’ll be a talented slave!

Mother Theresa once warned; “Work without love is slavery”. You will be a slave of paycheck and other people preferences while in real sense you don’t feel to work or do what you are doing right now.

When you love what you are doing; that, will makes you work with passion and feel free to do what you are doing because you know the reason to do so.Loving what you do will make you do great in production of goods or services with enormous income as the late Steve Job,an entrepreneur, inventor and a co-founder, chairman, and a chief executive officer of Apple Inc once said; "And the only way to do great work is to love what you do.“

Do you really love what you are doing right now? Does your current job make you feel happy in life?  Trying to be genuine with these questions. Your genuine answers within will assist you in planning a new face of what you are doing right now. Know your calling; find something you love, something that is making your heart sing, believe me! You’ll be able to unchains the so what called slavery i.e. a self-made slavery.

Avoid falling into a trap of doing something you don’t love to do. Doing something you don’t like for something in return, will prepare yourself to be a slave under a so-called in new name of slavery- “Modern-Day Slavery”. Finally, you will be complaining everyday about working environment not to be conducive and decide with your coworkers for demonstration to change the situation and appeal for good working conditions. But, keep in mind that, the changes you are demanding will not change you unless you’ve decided to change yourself to change your life.

Stay alerted, we are living in an era of stiff competition in job market; very similar to what Charles Darwin and Alfred Russel Wallace in 1858 highlighted in the theory of Natural selection; with “survival of the fittest”. In a competitive labour market, people with competitive skills conquer the labour market. This competition has led many people to be neglected with the market, that is, there are a huge number of people doing job out of their dreams for the sake of counting a day for a daily bread. In real sense, their hearts are far away from what they are doing while singing another song of “freedom”. Really, they don’t love what they do; they love the returns of what they do without love.

Taking a self-assessment now, it’s not worth to ignore the inner burning desire of doing something you really love. Although, you are working outside your dream job, you have to work hard wherever you are while keep on thinking and building your dream work; a work that you love most as part time. It’s doesn’t mean to quit your current job, take that time to work hard in building an empire of something you love most.

Identify your personal value, practice the skills you have with real example from people who stand firm to what they love and do. Find a good mentor, matching your aspiring profession to assist you in achieving your dream goal of doing something you really love.

I hope you love what you are doing right now.In case you find yourself in the dilemma, please don't hesitate to contact me for a special Mentorship program on "My Dream, My Career Choice."

One of historic lessons ever experienced in my life is when I faced difficulties in a low income family; I remember when my mother told us “although we don’t have something now to "call a day“, don’t express your weakness to other people, be tolerant and live your life according to what you have today...tomorrow will be better as we are striving for it to be better .“ I learned to live a real life of mine with persistence while striving for a better tomorrow.

Obviously, we have been influenced and influencing other people by being ourselves and living a life according to what we have and not what others possess. It’s better to live your life as it conveys the reality of who you are with uniqueness while sketching a map and a  route to success in your life.

Believe me, there is a possible danger of living by following the life and intuition of other people; is that of being into a trap to be manipulated, enslaved and lose personal value and uniqueness. The same to what Josh Shipp insisted as "there is nothing to be unique than being yourself." Be yourself in every step of life endeavor, people will see your uniqueness and use you for your own advantage. Keeping in mind that "Your time is limited so don’t waste it living someone else’s life“ as Steve Job once said.

Evidently, you might be tempted and want to live the life of somebody who has excel in life. This should not be a "rule of thumb“ as we are not sure of their map and route taken to reach their destiny.Tempted to adopt "a map and a route“ of other people that we find are very successful, we might end-up into wrong direction.Taking an example that, you reside from Iringa and unknowingly, you have adopt a "map and route“ which direct you to Dar es salaam and you have already reached at Ubungo bus terminal, while you had an intention to go to Arusha. You may guess what will happen to you.

Remember, life has no formula to follow and "life is not a rehearsal, it's a performance" well said Mrisho Mpoto- a Tanzanian famous musician in his song "nikipata nauli"...everyone creates a path with a map to reach a destiny, whereby every path has it’s own challenges to success. It’s not a guarantee that you can win in life by using a map of somebody else.Everyone has unique character(s) or strengths to assist him/her in coping with challenges in life.

As I concur with a philosophy of of “There is no easy walk to freedom anywhere and many of us will have to pass through the valley of the shadow of death again and again before we reach the mountain tops of our desires.” from a legendary and iconic figure-Nelson Mandela in his book-No Easy Walk to Freedom, also, from a British idiom of  "there’s no such thing as free lunch"; the same, there’s no easy journey to our success.Every success has a price to pay, don't expect for a cheap success.

Everyday, keep learning and practice to strengthen your potential. But, the mostly important thing is to be unique, live and identify your purpose in life. Live your life for the other, not the life of other people while making the most of it within your capacity to tackle the challenges.I promise, you will never be the same. You'll live your life with contentment.

Friendship is good for a reason of being friend and being a good friend. Unmistakably, friends can make you do well and succeed in life or impede your success. Importantly, we need to have good friends to share good and bad time for the common good.

Tim Lott- a journalist and author once identified that “Good friends are hard to find and even harder to keep“. Evidently, most people find it difficult to find and maintain good friends due to number of challenges which are not limited to mismatching of mutual interests, lack of social skills, difference in expectation of friendship and lack of understanding on the reason for such a friendship.

It should not be taken in another way around that you cannot get a good friend as Lott highlighted, No! ; Lott expressed his viewpoint on finding and maintaining good friendship to mean that there are important criterias you need to set and consider before you start and keep any friendship, mind that some form of friendship occur naturally without proper agreement.

Although, sometimes, it can be easy to have a friend naturally that matches our intuition but very hard to keep such a friendship. In my Swahili book- “Mtazamo Wako Ni Upi?“- "What’s your Attitude?“ in English, I’ve identified 5 groups of friends to stay away from or to avoid in order to assist you in finding and maintaining good friends so that to become successful in your life;

i)   friends with self-interest
ii)  friends who speak about your secrets to other people
iii) friends who would rather have more time to hangout using your income than hard working
iv) friends who don’t want to reveal who they are but eagerly scrutinize to know your life in detail
v)  friends who frequently borrow money from you, when you need it, is a tragedy that can intimidate your friendship.

With such categories of friends; be careful to evaluate natural characteristics of friends you want to cling with.Remember, if you want to get and maintain good friends, be a good friend while taking into account the central reason of such a friendship; it should be a friendship that focus on two way benefits. Friendship that reside from oneside is a dead friendship that need to be burried in a deep valley.

Take into account to make a regular auditing of friends you have so that you maintain supportive friendship; it’s much better to bury a friendship that is not supportive.Again, avoid friends with negative mouth with negative thought. Flock together with friends of same feathers (those with positive mindset and expectations in life for success) for the common good.

Stay blessed with good friendship of your choice for success in life.Find a strategy to maintain such a friendship for the common good.
